Catalytic Hydrogenation of Furfural over UiO‐66‐NH<sub>2</sub>‐derived Ru‐based Catalysts: Precursor Coordination Structure for Enhanced Catalysis

Abstract The −NH 2 in UiO‐66‐NH was functionally modified with 2‐pyridinecarboxaldehyde to form Schiff base UiO‐66‐Pyr, and hollow nitrogen‐doped porous carbon‐ZrO supported Ru (Ru/NC‐ZrO ) prepared from 3+ ‐coordinated UiO‐66‐Pyr‐Ru. Then the furfural hydrogenation performance of product investigated. Compared single‐tooth‐coordinated , 2‐tooth‐coordinated UiO‐66‐Pyr can improve stability coordination thereby increase loading dispersity Ru/NC‐ZrO showing high activity. direct hydrogen as source transfer isopropanol donor determined by under or nitrogen.
